The only thing more challenging and more powerful than world domination is self-control.

To accept that the world turns is to wax pragmatically.
To question why the world turns is to wax existentially.
To propose how the world turns is to wax analytically.
To understand how the world might turn better is to wax psychologically.

Not even the wise escape error, but many a fool excuse apology.

An ounce of awareness is worth more than a pound of action.

Where the captain hails, the oarsmen will row.

The smaller one’s view (experience) of the world, the bigger it seems. Similarly, the greater one’s view (experience) of the world, the smaller it seems.

If necessity is the mother of invention, then sustainability is the father of existence.

《the way》
dear little one,
the world is yours.
the world was yours
even before you belonged
to it.
it was, is, and will be
your redemption as often
as it will be your nemesis.
do not be afraid, for fear
will not carry your burdens
nor will it shelter you
from the elements.
have hope as much as will
allow triumph
over the ills of present,
but none so much that
you deceive yourself
of the realities of the future
or the consequences of the past.
days of sorrow will weave
a tight knit alongside joy,
neither with warning
nor with limitation.
you shall persist because
you know of nothing else,
not only because you will it.
for as a mortal, possibility
is as finite only as is time.
what tomorrow will bring you,
yesterday has already taken
away, with a fluidity that
surprises with subtlety.
you will love and hurt,
feel pain and transfer pain.
you will always forgive
because the alternative
is no alternative.
fairness and justice
will oft be at odds
with one another and for you.
you will not always deserve
your destiny, but you will
decide not to deny it.
for tonight, the sun sets low,
but tomorrow, high,
high shall the sun rise up.
oh, little one, until tomorrow,
good night.

One’s past reflects one’s priorities, just as one’s priorities will forecast one’s future.

Erase prejudice; rewrite perception.

Others’ perceptions of you do not define you.

Truth is not a trend.

Beware the thief who steals with your consent.

Where growls a sheep, feigns a wolf.

Delusion is a choice.

《Invitation》
Activity: Life
Invitee: You
Venue: World
Time: Now
Participation: Optional

Who discovers the world without discovering the self has fooled oneself twice.

Fantasy may not be feasible, but it is not futile.

Music is an elixir that allows the brain to just be.

To refuse is to resist;
To need, is to subsist;
To desire, is to exist;
To give, is not to have missed.

To dream without living is an illusion; to live without dreaming is quietus.

The fool are careless with sparks in a dry field.

The fool open a can of worms without intention of going fishing.

What the world could do with confidence, the universe couldn’t do without.

Only a shadow hides from the light.

In aphorism, haiku, poetry, proverb on 20101211 at 12:49

The fool’s idea of freedom is a world without rules and the fool’s idea of power is to rule the world.

A world without enforcement is but a world without rules.

Freedom must reach all, if it is to touch even one.

The fool love a home without leaving it; the wise love a home by returning to it.

《rainbow》
Lofty and crooked,
united yet divided –
rainbow in the sky.

《wind》
The wind never stops
pausing only to enjoy
the beauty of stillness.

It is not enough for anger to be bridled; it must be broken so that a bridle is not needed.

《the sun》
first crack of dawn, final setting of the sun
an everyday affair, seen always
as if the first and the last time.

《On Writing》
The joy of writing is the culmination of experience, the surprise birth of thoughts onto a world of paper; -watching, in hindsight, how the words flow, without warning. To be ready as the paper, willing as the pen.

In aphorism, proverb on 20101130 at 08:01

A fool mocks from a safe distance.

Hold onto blessings dearly; misgivings more loosely.

If memories are a cache of the past, ideas are credits of the future.

Genuineness is flawed, by nature; only falsity reaches perfection, by man.

Worry is for warts.

The dog that tucks its tail scares none with its bark.

One’s view of the world depends on whether one’s head is held high or bowed low.
